Mfa Delivers

Only eight weeks into 2011, and there’s a lot that’s happened here at Mfa: new faces, new coverage and lots of fun, new ideas! We’ve introduced some new talent to the Mfa team, and have added more impressive clients to our roster: 2XU, Squaw Valley USA and Global Surf Industries.

Take a look at what we’ve accomplished so far:

Mfa sprinted into 2011, making us crave a good workout. C9 by Champion for Target was featured in the January issue of WOMEN’S HEALTH and the January/February issue of HEALTH. Shaun White sneakers made their way on to NYMag.com, while his flip flop line made its debut. Sugoi’s Women’s Versa jacket was a hit on NBC’s TODAY Show.

The February issue of FITNESS highlighted how to look your very snow best in RED and Burton gear, and the Burton women’s team showed style in action, sporting the brand’s printed pants and neon tops in STYLESIGHT. Meanwhile, in Europe, Mfa travelled to Italy in January to escort media at Team Liquigas Cannondale presentations and training.

In the warm Caribbean, in January, Mfa celebrated the sun and the sinking of the decommissioned USS Kittiwake in the Cayman Islands. After seven years in the making, the former Navy submarine rescue ship made waves as it went down pulling in media coverage from CNN, THE WASHINGTON POST, NBC, AP, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES and other major outlets.

Coinciding with our worldly ways, Michelin Food & Travel’s tours of the world got kudos from ROBB REPORT and TRAVEL + LEISURE!

Back home in the States Mfa packed up for Aspen to watch riders compete at Winter X-Games and to check in to some of our favorite hotels - The Little Nell and Limelight Lodge, which were recently praised in ELITE TRAVELER for their incredible suites.

Shout outs to all of Target’s and Burton’s athletes at X-Games, and a special congrats to Torin Yater Wallace’s first podium and Shaun White for winning his 4th straight Superpipe. THE NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY and THE HUFFINGTON POST raved while he showed us that he is the king of the pipe.

With February, the wintriest month, came lots of media attention for Mfa’s clients. CNN visited Colonial Williamsburg for President’s Day to interview Presidents Washington and Jefferson. Out West, Great Day Houston hosted Squaw Valley USA’s ambassador Jonny Moseley to talk about the new non-stop service into Reno. Timing was perfect , as Squaw got 7 feet of snow in just 3 days!

For snow-less destinations, COUNTRY LIVING boasts the Schwinn Cruiser as the best on the market! And right here in our own city, BRIDES Magazine awarded the Star Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park Best Bar calling out famed bartender, Norman Bukofzer.

Stay tuned for more news in the weeks ahead.
